clothes on line 2007 - can the devil buy Prada from your site?
bit10 recently completed our second usability benchmarking survey of leading online clothing retailers, building on the results of our original investigation in 2004. We compared the websites of seven top UK retailers including: Ted Baker , Marks & Spencer , Debenhams , Dorothy Perkins , John Lewis, Figleaves and Oasis, against key usability criteria and user perceptions.
Online testing was carried out in our dedicated usability laboratory , using a sample of ten ordinary shoppers whose experiences were videoed and which you can see reported in detail in our survey.
The findings of the Clothes On Line 2007 report highlight important issues common across all of the websites tested. With reports of online sales breaking the £1 billion mark last year, it is more important than ever that online retailers identify and avoid the common shortcomings and pitfalls, to provide an excellent online customer experience.
